Teleseminar Offers Advice for Overweight, Out-of-Shape, Stressed Out Arthritics

The New Year often times brings the opportunity for improving one's health. This year is no different. Dr. Nathan Wei, a nationally know, board-certified rheumatologist, will be delivering a complimentary one-hour phone seminar entitled, "Make this Your Best Year Ever," focusing on diet, exercise, and stress reduction for patients with arthritis. The call will take place on Tuesday evening, January 13 at 7pm.
"Patients with arthritis often have two conditions they have to deal with. The first is their arthritis and the pain and limited capacity that that condition causes. The second, and it's one that actually makes t he arthritis worse and more difficult to treat, is being overweight. People with arthritis are often either overweight or frankly obese," states Dr. Nathan Wei.
"Also, this weight problem is compounded by the fact that patients with arthritis often have no clue as to how to start an effective program and are concerned about the pain associated with increased activity. Proper exercise is a key component of effective arthritis treatment. People often don't realize this important fact. And patients with arthritis are often very stressed. Given today's economic uncertainty, the stress is multiplied more..." adds Dr. Wei.
"The purpose of the teleseminar will be to provide information on diet, nutrition, and how to get started with exercise, and how to contend with stress. And it will be specific to people who have arthritis. The call is complimentary," concludes Dr. Wei.
