Heritage Area Announces Additional Mini-Grant Round

Frederick, MD: The Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area (HCWHA), a state heritage area encompassing parts of Carroll, Frederick and Washington counties, announces an additional round for the FY09 mini-grant program. HCWHA is offering competitive mini-grants of between $500 and $2,500 to heritage sites, non-profit organizations, and government units within the heritage area to develop new and innovative programs, partnerships, exhibits, tours, events, and other heritage tourism-related initiatives that are consistent with the goals and priorities stated in the HCWHA management plan (available at www.heartofthecivilwar.org).
The mini-grant deadline for this newest grant round in FY09 is March 2, 2009. Mini-grant guidelines and applications are available on-line at www.heartofthecivilwar.org/about-the-heritage-area/grants-and-other-benefits/.
