Funded through a grant from the Bowman Board of The Washington County Historical and Fine Arts Trust, Inc., the program will feature the enchanting puppet show, The Secret Life of Rodents by Rachel Anthonisen Gates, artistic director of Signal Light Theatre. This family-oriented show is based on the story Stone Soup and follows a well-traveled mouse, who is poor in belongings yet rich in imagination, as he teaches a squirrel about the joy of giving. Gates, the daughter of internationally acclaimed Solebury sculptor, George Anthonisen, works from the ground up, designing and building her portable stage and original puppets. She has won many awards for design and has taught classes in sculpture, drawing, mask making and puppetry.
Following the performance there will be a very special visit from Santa Claus. Museum Volunteers will serve an assortment of refreshments.
