Habitat for Humanity of Washington County and Ten Thousand Villages to host community benefit

Hagerstown, MD- Ten Thousand Villages Hagerstown is inviting the community to come out and shop for the holidays to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington County from 10am to 8pm on Saturday, November 8.
"The purchase of a unique handcrafted gift from Ten Thousand Villages will not only support Habitat, but will improve the livelihoods of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East," said Naomi Byler, Ten Thousand Villages Hagerstown store manager. "A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington County."
Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat is a ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Working with families and volunteers of all backgrounds in equal partnership, Habitat builds homes, builds communities, and builds hope. Through the homes that are built, hope is restored, lives are changed, and our community becomes healthier as the cycle of need is broken.
