James M. Benjamin, of Smithsburg, Maryland Awarded Dean's List Honors from St. Mary's College of Maryland

(St. Mary's City, MD) July 2, 2008- James M. Benjamin, of Smithsburg,
Maryland, is awarded Dean's List honors for his academic achievement during the spring 2008 semester at St. Mary's College of Maryland (SMCM). As the state's only public honors college, SMCM is ranked as one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, The Princeton Review and Kiplinger's. SMCM provides its students with the academic excellence of a top private college while maintaining the openness and affordability of public education.
"As Maryland's public honors college, every St. Mary's student is an honors student," said Jane Margaret O'Brien, the College's president. "Yet among them are students who distinguish themselves further as members of our academic Dean's List. We are very proud of these students."
Dean's List honors are awarded to full-time students at SMCM who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or better on 12 or more graded credits.
