Fish News: Don Forman Cobia and Dare Marina/PSWSFA Open Flounder Tournaments
Don Forman Cobia and Dare Marina/PSWSFA Open Flounder Tournaments
We will have a club picnic at Dare Marina on June 29 at 1:00 PM. This event is free to club members. This follows our Youth and Ladies Tournament, which is also free. The tournament will run from June 21 until the start of the picnic. Take some women and children fishing for croaker and flounder. A keeper flounder could be a winner this year. Come on to the picnic even if you do not fish the tournament.
The Don Forman Cobia Tournament will run the entire month of July. For more information on this and other PSWSFA tournaments visit: http://www.pswsfa.com/tournaments.htm.
The Dare Marina/PSWSFA Open Flounder Tournament will be held on August 16 with a captains meeting on the 15th.
Fisherman Magazine Dreamboat Challenge
Attention Bluewater Fishermen! The Fisherman Magazine has added dolphin (aka dorado, Mahi-Mahi) to the list of eligible species in their annual "Dream Boat Challenge." This gives Delmarva Offshore Anglers an excellent opportunity to check-in a qualifying fish (10 pounds or more) and enter this contest. Complete rules and an entry form are in the magazine or you can contact The Fisherman (410-643-5523) for a PDF version. Be sure to print and carry a copy of the entry form with you whenever you are out fishing this summer. And of course, Chris Dollar and the staff of the Mid-Atlantic Fisherman always welcome you're first hand-fishing reports and photos of the big one that didn't get away. Send your reports and pictures to email@example.com and don't forget to mention that you're a club member.
