Janice Riley Named Knob Hall Winery's Director of Marketing
Washington County's Winery Located Near Clear Spring

(Clear Spring, MD)- Knob Hall Winery of Clear Spring, Maryland, is pleased to announce that Janice Riley has been named Director of Marketing. A resident of Washington County, Janice will be in charge of marketing efforts at the winery, including serving as the winery's public relations spokesperson.
With a bachelor's degree in marketing from Shippensburg University, Ms. Riley has worked with advertisers, financial institutions, publishers, military contractors, retail stores, and agriculture firms. She has experience in the various aspects of marketing, to include sales, product, and pricing.
Knob Hall Winery plans to begin making wine this year. Last year, Knob Hall Vineyards planted eight acres of grape plants and plans to plant another eight acres during this year. The winery is located on the 173-acre Clear Spring farm owned and managed by Dick Seibert.
When operational, Knob Hall Winery will be the only winery in Washington County, with several varieties of grapes planted and being planted. The winery is one of eight new wineries expected to open during 2008 in the State of Maryland, and is a member of the Maryland Wineries Association. Currently, there are 31 wineries licensed in Maryland.
Members of the Maryland Grape Growers Association, there currently are two commercial vineyards in Washington County. These are located in the southern part of Washington County (Brownsville and Knoxville), and do not produce grapes for a local winery.
