Raffle for the Children

Raffle for the Children
House, Car, Persian Rug, Furniture and Cash!

Want to win a fully restored country home appraised at $390,000 and help children in need at the same time? Homeowners Karen Crawford and Dennis Kelly, along with realtor Cynthia Moler have teamed up with San Mar Children's Home to raffle off a fully restored country home. The raffle benefits San Mar Children's Home, which provides residential care for adolescent girls who have been abused, neglected or have behavioral problems. San Mar, located near Boonsboro, MD, is celebrating its 125 anniversary this year.
For the price of a $100 raffle ticket, one lucky person will win the country home that sits on 3.2 acres just west of Hagerstown and near Whitetail Ski Resort. The house, located at 13607 Indian Springs Road in Big Pool, MD, has four bedrooms, three baths, a great room with a stone fireplace, is surrounded by woodlands and sits next to a trout stream!
To allow contestants to see the home they could win, an open house will be held Sunday, February 3rd from 2pm to 4pm.
Additional raffle prizes include a 2008 Toyota Camry, a Persian rug appraised at $8,900, a Statton furniture set, and $1,000 cash. After paying expenses, which include paying for the house, organizers hope to raise more than $100,000 for San Mar.
San Mar Children's Home exists today to provide structure, nurturance, and opportunity to children and youth in need that they may become productive members of society tomorrow.
Tickets can be ordered at www.sanmarraffle.com, where website visitors can also take a virtual tour of the home. A minimum of 5,000 tickets must be sold. The maximum number to be sold is 7,000. The winner will be drawn March 13 at San Mar's annual dinner at Beaver Creek Country Club, Hagerstown. Winners do not need to be present to win. For more information, contact Daniel C.
