Shepherdstown Men's Club Book Sale

The Shepherdstown Men's Club will hold its annual fall book sale the weekend of November 17-18.
The sale will feature fiction and nonfiction books of all kinds at bargain prices- for both adults and children.
It will be held at the Men's Club Building, at the corner of German and King streets, from 10am to 4pm Saturday, November 17, and 10am to 2pm Sunday, November 18.
All proceeds from the book sale will be used to support the Men's Club's programs.
For those who want to get a jump on the regular sale hours, there will be a wine and cheese reception at the War Memorial Building from 6pm to 8pm Friday, November 16.
Admission to the reception will be $10 per person.
There will be no charge for admission to the sale on Saturday or Sunday.
As part of the event, Shepherdstown bean soup and hot dogs will be offered for sale on the second floor of the War Memorial Building from 11am to 1pm Saturday. The proceeds from these sales will also be used to support Men's Club programs.
Those who want to donate books for the sale are being asked to hold on to them for now and then drop them off at the Men's Club Building any morning the week before the sale (between 9:00 a.m. and 12pm. on Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 16).
Donors who would prefer to have their books picked up by the Men's Club can call Charles Freeland at 304-876-6706 or Mary Stanley at 304-876-1856 anytime prior to the sale to make arrangements for a pickup.
Books of all kinds are being sought for the sale- fiction and nonfiction, adult and children's.
However, encyclopedias, Readers Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, computer manuals, and magazines will not be accepted.
