News From The Ranger Foundation

The Ranger Foundation, Inc. was the recent recipient of a $2,000.00 grant from Thoroughbred Charities of America.
The mission of Thoroughbred Charities of America is "to provide a better life for thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue and research and by helping the people who work with them." For more information visit www.thoroughbredcharities.org.
The Ranger Foundation is a non-profit retirement home for horses that have given years of service to people. The horses come from a variety of working backgrounds. They are police horses, military horses, and therapeutic riding horses among others who are now too old or infirm to continue to perform their jobs and deserve our loving care for the remainder of their days.
The Ranger Foundation has taken in two retired thoroughbreds, 35-year-old Atari and 25-year-old Caesar, after they served second careers as service horses. The organization is all volunteer and relies on donations to run.
