China - The #1 Destination in the World
The World Trade Organization is already predicting that by 2020, China will be the number one destination in the world. In 2006, 1.7 million Americans visited China, making it the number one outbound destination in the Orient. China offers the experience of a lifetime. China will be hosting two major international events: the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and the World Expo in Shanghai's in 2010.
It is home to 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including well known attractions such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Terra Cotta Army in Xi'an, and the Potala Palace in Tibet, as well as some lesser known sites such as the Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong scenic areas in Sichuan, the Old Town of Lijiang in Yunnan, and the Mogao Grottoes along the Silk Road, all of which can be experienced on our tours.
