Get a Caribbean Vacation and Help Build a House!

Here is an opportunity to enjoy a great Caribbean vacation and help build a Habitat for Humanity house in Washington County.
Caribbean resort hotels are again offering lodging for Habitat's Auction Dinner event scheduled for Saturday, March 31, at the Hagerstown Community College ARCC building. Your winning bid on one of these resort packages could help build a Habitat house.
The SunBreeze Hotel, in the quaint town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize, will again give a 5-night visit to some bidder. But this year, Habitat is packaging that with a 3-night stay at duPlooy's, a jungle lodge on the Belize mainland. Not only will the winning bidder, of this package for two, have the opportunity to enjoy water sports in the crystalline blue waters of the Caribbean, but can also canoe on jungle rivers and visit ancient Mayan sites.
Five night stays for two persons are offered on the Caribbean island of St.
Martin/Sint Maarten, the world's smallest island shared by two sovereign powers.
On Sint Maarten (Dutch) is the Princess Heights, ideal for discriminating travelers. Nestled into the hillside of Dawn Beach this luxury hotel offers guests the feeling of being in a private villa with the convenience of a resort atmosphere.
On St. Martin, (French) the resort being offered is the Hotel Beach Plaza. Facing the sunset from Ocean Beach, it is within walking distance of downtown Marigot.
Another great item to be auctioned is a round trip, first class flight for two anywhere in the world on Delta or Continental Airlines. This includes limousine service from Hagerstown to BWI, Dulles or Regan airports.
NASCAR fans here's one for you! Two tickets for the race in Charlotte, NC on May 28. With it is a free parking pass and free pit passes from Jeff Gordon.
There will be a hand-painted quilt by Apple Valley Painters; full family golf membership at Beaver Creek Country Club; original art, and limited edition prints by local artists; a jukebox loaded with 100 CD's; a 1980 Cadillac Seville; a 3-night stay at Rehoboth Beach resort; hand-made queen size quilt with matching cases; and many, many other exciting items.
These are some of the exciting items to be auctioned at Habitat's 14th annual fundraising Dinner Auction. This year's theme is "Rock'n Thru The 50's With Habitat."
The event begins at 5pm with the silent auction, buffet dinner at 7pm followed by the live auction. Tickets are $40.00 per person. Half of the ticket price is tax deductible. This festive fundraising event has been selling out each year, so order your tickets early. Call 301-791-9009 for yours today.
This year's goal has been set at $65,000. Habitat homes are sold to qualifying, low-income families on a no-profit, no-interest mortgage.
Families must put in 500-hours of "sweat equity" building on Habitat houses and participating in other Habitat projects alongside the Habitat volunteers. Your Caribbean vacation, or other items you obtain from the auction, can help provide a home of some local family.
