Chambersburg Community Theatre, Inc. has announced the cast for the holiday classic, A Christmas Story. Directed by Paul Keifman, this adaptation of the 1983 movie is Jean Shepherd's funny and touching memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940's and includes everyone's favorite scenes--the leg lamp, the flag pole, the bunny pajamas, the flat tire.
Ralphie Parker, played by Alexis Barone is determined to get an "official Red Ryder carbine action 200-shot range model air rifle" for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother (Vicki Gontz), his teacher (Jennifer Davis) and even Santa Claus at Goldblatt's department store. The universal response--"You'll shoot your eye out!"
Abigael Bellows will play Ralphie's little brother Randy and Scott Cairns will reprise his role as The Old Man (Ralphie's father). Dick Shoap will portray the narrator, the grown-up Ralph. Other cast members include Brittany Peterson as the bully Scut Farkas, Skylynn Whittington and Garrett Ernst as Ralphie's friends Flick and Schwartz, Kelsey Peterson as Esther Jane and Aimee Beth Davis as Helen.
