As winter approaches, so does flu season. Local health organizations are once again offering inoculations at flu shot clinics around Washington County.

As part of its regular meeting on October 28th, the Washington County Board of County Commissioners kicked off the preventive effort with shots given by Health at Work, a private health organization that provides Flu shots to County employees as part of a health benefits plan.

Citizens will be able to get low-cost shots beginning this month at clinics sponsored by the Washington County Health Department.

The shots require a $10 donation, or can be billed to Medicare with the card, and will be offered on November 13th at the Hancock Community Center from 3-7 p.m., on November 15 at South Hagerstown High from 8 until 11 a.m., on November 18th at the Boonsboro American Legion on U.S. 40A from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m., at the Martin Luther King Center on North Street in Hagerstown on November 21st from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m., on November 24th at the Elks Club on Robinwood Drive from 3 until 7 p.m., and on November 25th at the Redmen Lodge on Route 68 in Williamsport from 1 until 4 p.m.
