Tournament of Bands
at Mechanicsburg Area High School
by Jennifer LB Leese
Marching band competitions are quite a sight. The stands are loaded with excited supporters waving and clapping, screaming out for their child's school band.
On Saturday, September 30, 2006, the crowds went wild as each band took the field at John B. Frederick Field at Mechanicsburg Area High School for last weekend's Tournament of Bands.
Food and refreshments, souvenirs, and program guides were readily available throughout the length of the event.
2006 Participating Bands:
South Hagerstown HS, Biglerville HS, Big Spring HS, Liberty HS, East Pennsboro HS, Lebanon HS, Susquehanna Township HS, Camp Hill HS, Shikellamy HS, Gov. Thomas Johnson HS, Red Land HS, South Western HS, and Cumberland Valley HS
