Open Mic- Acoustic Music- 6:30-9:30pm. Port City Java, Longmeadow Shopping Center. All ages welcome. Hear the best local talent and play to a great audience. Hosted by Tommy Lancaster. 301-790-5040.

Red White & Blue Concert series- 3:30pm. Hagerstown Community College Alumni Amphitheater. The United States Army Field Band and United States Army 30-member Soldiers' Chorus performs in celebration of HCC's 6th Anniversary Kick-off Weekend.

September 17
Pen Mar Park Concert Series- 2-5pm. Dance/listen to the very finest in the big band era ballroom dance music. Music by "Just Us". 240-313-2805.

September 23
Chili cook-off and music festival- Noon to 5pm. This popular event returns for the third year at Hagerstown's Municipal Stadium, courtesy of the Hagerstown Suns.

MSO Pops Concert- Maryland Symphony Orchestra- 8pm. The Maryland Theatre.
