Elevator maintenance at County Administration Building

Maintenance on the elevator at the County Administration Building, 100 West Washington Street in Hagerstown, will temporarily cause changes in the way that some county services are offered to the public.
For a 5-week period beginning June 26, the elevator in the building will be closed for a major maintenance project, required by state law. Two Commissioners' meetings will be relocated during this period.
Persons who have mobility problems and cannot climb stairs who need to receive services from departments located on the second and third floors of the building will need to make contact with the department providing the service or the Office on Disability Issues to schedule an appointment in an accessible location.
Affected departments are the Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator, the County Attorney, the County Clerk, Public Works, Human Resources, Budget and Finance, the Purchasing Department, and Information Technologies.
The County Commissioners meetings for July 11 and 18 are expected to be affected. A location for these meetings will be announced on the weekly agenda. The Commissioners' have vacation weeks scheduled for June 27 and July 25, and July 4 is a Holiday week.
