Employee Recognition: Wolford
In its meeting January 24 the Board of County Commissioners recognized Highways Department Director Ted Wolford for a job well done over his long stint as a County Employee.
Wolford will retire in February after 37 years on the job, 30 of those years as Highways head. He directs 87 employees at four locations, who perform all road-related duties for the County. His leadership has seen the development of a highly efficient and effective roadways maintenance operation.
Wolford said, "If I have been successful, it is because of the support from the Highways Department employees and the Board of County Commissioners over the years."
Wolford and his wife, Patricia will relocate to Florida.
