Whether you decide to visit area ski resorts, relax in heated spas at a local spa or take to the nearest and tallest hill for sled riding...you'll love it here.
Perhaps you would like a horse drawn sleigh ride through the park or partake in a scrumptious cowboy dinner and show at Antietam Recreation at 9729 Garis Shop Road, Hagerstown.
If you're adventurous try winter camping at Cunningham Falls State Park (14039 Catoctin Hollow Road, Thurmont) in the Catoctin Mountains. Cunningham Falls is known for its history and scenic beauty, as well as its 78-foot cascading waterfall. The falls is located one half mile from the lake in the Houck Area via the Falls Trail.
Other seasonal activities you'll find include snowmobiling, ice skating, and winter trail hikes.

The Great Russian Nutcracker- December 14, 2005. 7:00PM. Moscow Ballet will debut its Great Russian Nutcracker at the Maryland Theatre. The holiday tour under the direction of former Bolshoi Ballet and Stanislavsky soloist, Valery Kokorev, former Bolshio Ballet solist and choreographer, Sergi Bobrov and Moscow Ballet's and star Anatoli Emelianov. Victorian Christmas Celebration- Now through December 31. Beginning at the Gordon-Roberts House at 218 Washington Street, Cumberland, visitors can enjoy a Victorian Christmas celebration with late 1800s decorations. Christmas tea is served during the 10AM to 4PM tours of Gordon-Roberts House, Thrasher Carriage Museum, Whiting House Museum, and Allegany County Historical Society.
