Recreation
Municipal Stadium, Home of the Hagerstown Suns Class A Baseball Organization with the South Atlantic League. The Municipal Stadium seats over 6,000 and is equipped with dugouts, concession stands, restrooms, offices and pressbox. May be reserved April through September when not scheduled for baseball.
Hagerstown Greens at Hamilton Run, Built in 1932 by private individuals who could not afford the new country club, the Municipal Golf Course's old layout has a maturity new courses cannot equal. Not much has changed since the City of Hagerstown took over the operation in 1947.
This par 34, public 9-hole course offers a competitive round of golf which includes distinctive par 3's and 4's, while giving golfers the option of walking or riding. This 2,550- yard course has lovely mountain views seen from holes #1 and #8. Hole #2 is a par 5 and 488 yards. Hole #5 is thought to be the most challenging green because of the blind fairway shots. A fully stocked Pro Shop offers an extended line of golf supplies and apparel.
