Thomas B. Riford has been named Vice President of Funds Development of Homewood Retirement Centers

Riford, who is currently president and CEO of the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, will oversee Homewood's fund-raising subsidiary - The Homewood Foundation - as a member of the organization's senior management team.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Tom's experience and background to continue the work of The Homewood Foundation," said Ernest W. Angell, Homewood's president and CEO. "Tom will bring a vast array of new ideas and energy to our organization." Riford succeeds John W. Warren who retires at the end of the year after 14 years with Homewood.
Riford is a graduate of Cornell University and a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Previous to his position with the CVB, Riford was marketing director of the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission, Associated Engineering Sciences Inc., and Intrepid Technologies. He serves on a number of local boards and committees and works as a part-time news reporter for WJEJ Radio.
In his position with Homewood, Riford will raise funds to support Homewood's Benevolent Care Endowment, as well as director capital campaigns in support of various building projects, special events and planned giving.
Homewood Retirement Centers owns and operates five full-service retirement communities in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Homewood is a not-for-profit corporation and has been in business since 1932.
