Potomac Heights Character Counts Nominations

Potomac Heights Elementary School saluted 12 students in December for exemplifying the character traits of a caring student. The students were rewarded with lunch, including ice cream sundaes, at the "Golden Table" with counselor Jacklyn Kinzer.
This award is given to a child or youth who demonstrates outstanding ability in one of the Six Pillars of Character, which is the foundation of CHARACTER COUNTS!. These six pillars are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. These characteristics are very important to the growth of our children in today's society.
Any school or organization may submit the name of a child or youth, kindergarten through twelfth grade, as a nominee for the monthly Washington County CHARACTER COUNTS! Award.
All nominations must be submitted on the nomination form that can be found at: www.washco-md.net/grant_man/char_counts/form.shtm. Application materials will not be returned. The Washington County Office of Community Grant Management asks for your support in recognizing these outstanding children and youth.
Each award winner will receive a certificate signed by each of the Washington County Commissioners and a CHARACTER COUNTS! T-shirt. Additionally, the recipients and their immediate family will be invited to attend the annual awards banquet at the end of the academic year.
Applications will be accepted between Sept. 1 and May 10 of the current school year.
If you have any questions concerning this award, please contact Laura Reamy at 240-313-2044.
