Washington County attractions given Maryland's Finest Awards
Maryland Life Magazine's Vicki Foertschbeck congratulates Hagerstown-Washington County CVB President Tom Riford. The CVB accepted awards for several Washington County attractions, which earned Maryland's Finest Awards by the readers of the magazine.
Maryland Life Magazine has recognized several Washington County places and businesses in the annual Maryland's Free State's Finest voting.
For the Western Region of the state, readers of the magazine declared that the best museum is the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.
Also receiving honors include the Antietam National Battlefield selected as finest historical attraction. The finest theater went to the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, which also was awarded the finest concert venue award.
Thousands of readers sent in ballots from around the state, to select favorite places to dine, shop, visit, and more. The Greenbrier State Park was awarded an Editors Pick as favorite park. The finest shopping area was declared the Hagerstown Premium Outlets. Finest jeweler is R. Bruce Carson. Also, the Editors pick as Best Kept Secret? Krumpe's Donuts in Hagerstown!
The awards were officially presented at an event at Linganore Winery in Mount Airy. The Free State's Finest awards are listed in the April issue of Maryland Life Magazine.
