Students role play in Sharpsburg Elementary School's Anti-Bullying Assembly

On Feb. 15, a gentle, funny, assembly program that engaged students with the skills and knowledge to stop bullying at school was held at Sharpsburg Elementary School. Mr. Paul (Paul Hadfield), a counselor, comedian, and circus artist teamed up with Mr. Barry (Barry Wood), a slapstick-sidekick and aspiring Hollywood film director, to bring the students at Sharpsburg the knowledge and skills necessary to stop bullying at school.
Mr. Paul brought his experience in counseling children and the latest bullying research. He's not afraid to use magic, acrobatics, and juggling to make a compelling point. Mr. Barry led students in role-play situations to teach and illustrate bystander skills. Together they formed a comedy team with the unique ability to make a serious subject both engaging and fun.
