Boy Scouts of America Troop #62 makes donation to the HSWC

Hagerstown, MD: For the 4th year in a row the members of Boy Scouts of America Troop #62 chose the Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) to receive their monthly service project's donations. On Thursday February 9th some of the troop members brought their donation to the shelter.
"This is a service project the Scouts do each month," said Chris Lane, committee member. "They have done this for four years now and really enjoy doing it." Troop #62 is comprised of 35 troop members, including from left to right: Mason, Austin, Josh and Jakob. Other scouts who donated but are not pictured are Chris, Derek and Steven. Each scout purchased the items, which included cat and dog food, cleaning supplies, towels and pipe cleaners.
"We are honored to be the recipients of Troop 62's service project," said Paul Miller, Executive Director of the HSWC. "The animals benefit from every collection like this and we are grateful for every donation."
The Humane Society of Washington County is located at 13011 Maugansville Road in Hagerstown, MD. Visit our website, www.hswcmd.org, for information on animal related issues, directions to the shelter and information about our programs and services.
