Washington County Gaming Commissions elects officers and welcomes new appointee

Hagerstown, MD (October 14, 2011): At the October 11, 2011 meeting of the Washington County Gaming Commission, Mr. John Menard was elected to the position of Chairperson. Mr. Menard was appointed to the Gaming Commission in 2009 by the Washington County Board of Commissioners. During the same meeting, Mr. Paul Crampton III was elected to the position of Vice Chairperson. Mr. Crampton was appointed to the Gaming Commission by the Washington County Delegation to the General Assembly in 2010. Both will hold their positions for one year.
Mr. Earl "Rusty" Baker was welcomed as a newly appointed member of the Gaming Commission. As required by State Statute, the appointment was made by the Washington County Delegation to the General Assembly to represent the Washington County Club Association. Mr. Baker resides and works in Washington County, Maryland and serves as the President of the Washington County Club Association, Commander of Washington County AMVETS Post 10, and is the Past Commander of the AMVETS of Maryland.
The Washington County Gaming Commission is a seven-member volunteer board appointed by the State Delegation to Washington County and the Washington County Board of County Commissioners. The Gaming Commission is charged with distributing gaming fund revenues to local non-profit charities.
