2011 Hagerstown Challenge Criterium

Presented by The City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau

We are just a few days away from the start of the 2011 Hagerstown Challenge Criterium presented by The City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau!
The Hagerstown Challenge Criterium represents over a 20-year history of promoting a competitive cycling event in the city of Hagerstown, MD. This 2011 edition of the event also represents the third straight year in which our city will also be hosting to the Mid-Atlantic Criterium Championships for the region's elite racers. We are expecting close to, if not over, 200 racers to descend upon the city on Saturday July 9th, as they will be competing for 2011 Championship jerseys, medals in their respective divisions as well as cash prizes.
This event will be staged in our traditional northern Hagerstown location and will start and finish on Woodland Way. The follow streets represent the roads that will be used to stage this event.
1. Racers will start on Woodland Way at the W. Hillcrest Rd. intersection and travel south.
2. Turn one will be the left on to Park Lane, as racers will travel east towards The Terrace.
3. Turn two will be the left on to The Terrace as the racers will travel north to W. Irvin Ave.
4. Turn three is the sweeping left on to W. Irvin Ave., which leads back to Woodland Way.
Racing will kick off at 8am and our feature events will start at 12:45pm and 1:45pm. We hope that you will be in attendance at this event, as it represents a showcase production for the Mid-Atlantic Bicycle Racing Association (MABRA).
