There will be a community yard and food sale as well as a free concert on Saturday, April 16 from 7am to 3pm at Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport.
This event is to benefit Kristy Danfelt, a resident from Williamsport, who is suffering from breast cancer.
"Dogfoot" - a local acoustic group with a coffeehouse sound, is putting on the free concert from 9 to 11:30am and The Back Creek Valley Boys, a bluegrass picking band from Hedgesville, WV, will perform from noon to 3pm. The bands will perform in the gazebo on the premises.
While you're out and about, stop by Williamsport Barber Shop Downtown for a new do. They will be donating $2 per service purchased. "I have lost family and friends to cancer. America used to be a good country when people helped people...that is what I like to do," said Barber Shop owner Tammy Whitney. "The last thing someone who is ill needs to worry about is money."
If you would like to rent a table, a 10' x 10' space is being rented for $25, however, you must bring your own table for displaying your items. The person who rented the space or donated for the cause may keep money made. If you wish to rent one of the tables please send a $25.00 check to Penny Fraker, 13040 Grant Shook Rd., Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or call 301-991-1250.
If you would like to help, but are unable to attend the event, donations are graciously accepted. Every penny counts! All proceeds go directly into the Kristy Danfelt Fund at M&T Bank to help with medical and financial needs.
