Tech High students once again become fairy godmother's to the animals at the Humane Society of Washington County

Hagerstown, MD: The third annual Cinderella's Closet fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) is scheduled for Friday March 4th from 4-6:30pm in the Health Occupations classroom at Washington County Technical High School on Oak Ridge Drive in Hagerstown, MD. The event is being hosted by the Student Government at Washington County Technical High. The event is open to the public and all are invited to attend. In the event of a snow cancellation the sale will be held on Tuesday, March 8th from 4-6:30.
The premise of Cinderella's Closet is to provide formal dresses for students to purchase at greatly reduced prices. None of the dresses will be sold for more than $50.00. The students are asking for donations of gently worn gowns/formal wear. They need all sizes however a special request is being made for plus size dresses. They will also accept accessories such as gently worn shoes, handbags, ties, coats and suits.
Ms. Marjorie Kellman, Skills USA/SGA Lead Advisor, is overseeing the fundraiser. "The students were required to do an activity and they once again chose to help the Humane Society by holding a Cinderella's Closet and donating the proceeds to the shelter," said Kellman. "They are very excited about the Cinderella's Closet and hope they can surpass last year's donation of $450.00. Their goal is $600.00 this year."
