City Seeks Residents to Serve on Ethics Commission

Hagerstown, MD (January 28, 2011): The City of Hagerstown is seeking residents to serve on a newly established City Ethics Commission.
The responsibilities of the City Ethics Commission include providing advisory opinions as to the applicability of the City's Ethics Code, process and make determinations of complaints alleging violation of the City's Ethics Code and establishing and conducting public information programs relating to the purpose and application of the City's Ethics Code.
"The City Ethics Commission will have five members, and each member will serve a five-year term, but no more than two consecutive terms," stated Hagerstown's City Clerk Donna Spickler. "Applicants are required to live in the corporate boundaries of the City."
