Bridge of Life celebrates 40 years in community
By Joel Yount

About 400 people spent Sunday July 18th celebrating the Bridge of Life Church's 40th anniversary in Hagerstown.
Many members of the church say the organization has enriched the Hagerstown Community over the past several decades. The Bridge of Life Church is located in downtown Hagerstown and is a non-denominational Christian Faith Church.
"We're finding more purpose, we believe we have purpose in downtown Hagerstown, being part of the revitalization," said Jim Davies, a Pastor of the church.
The church's location has also played a role in its service to the community. "It's right in the heart of the Arts and Entertainment District, and we're doing the things that work with the arts and entertainment, we have art exhibits and the building is open to Barbara Ingram a lot," explained Pastor Linda Barnhart.
The church moved to its current location in 1976, before the downtown revitalization efforts. Now, members are excited to be a part of that process.

The church is located at 14 South Potomac Street in Downtown Hagerstown. For more information, visit http://www.BridgeOfLife.org or call 301.791.1674.
