U.S. Navy Country Current to Perform at HCC

(Hagerstown, MD): The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Country Current as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Wed., June 9, at 6pm, in HCC's Alumni Amphitheater.
The Country Current is a seven-member country-bluegrass ensemble originally formed in 1973. Currently the group is under the direction of banjo instrumentalist Chief Musician Keith M. Arneson. In support of Navy recruiting, the Country Current tours the United States each year, and has performed at many prominent venues alongside a host of country artists including Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill, David Ball, and Boots Randolph. The group also features an acoustic bluegrass quintet that is often featured at many festivals across the country.
This concert is free and open to the public. This year's Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Joint Veterans Council, and Amvets Department Service Foundation, Inc.
