United Way of Washington County Announces New Finance Director

Hagerstown: United Way of Washington County is pleased to introduce certified public accountant Karen Sigler-Goldstein as the organization's new Finance Director.
Sigler-Goldstein, a native of Hagerstown, started with United Way on Monday, April 19th.
"We are so excited to welcome Karen to our organization," Executive Director Leah Gayman said. "Her skills and experience, coupled with her incredible passion for the work we do, will work perfectly as we continue to improve lives in our community."
Sigler-Goldstein has extensive experience in non-profit and for-profit finances. In the non-profit arena, she has previously worked for Advocates for Homeless Families, Inc. in Frederick, MD as well as Hagerstown's own APPLES for Children.
Sigler-Goldstein received her Master's of Business Administration from Frostburg's Hagerstown campus. She also holds a bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University and attended Hagerstown Community College. She is a member of the Maryland Association of CPA's and was the treasurer of the Boonsboro Elementary School PTA from 2008-2009.
Currently a resident of Keedysville, Sigler-Goldstein lives with her husband Dave and her children Madeline and Nathaniel. She is an avid runner, having completed the Marine Corp marathon three times, and enjoys scrapbooking.
