Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Chambersburg is one of the area's most beloved treasures. Rediscovered and continually renovated since 1996, the Capitol Theatre is home to the performing arts in all of Franklin County. The Chambersburg Community Theatre and the Chambersburg Ballet Company call the theatre their home and with a number of performances by the Chambersburg Council for the Arts and the Cumberland Valley School of Music, the storied building is busy almost every week of the year.

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra is Western Maryland's premier professional orchestra serving audiences from the Quad-state region. The MSO attracts the finest musical talents from the Baltimore and Washington metro area to create thrilling performances in the historic, beautifully restored Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown. The Maryland Theatre was built in 1915, partially destroyed by fire in 1974 and reopened in 1978. The marvelous acoustics are only surpassed by the wonderful ambiance of The Theatre.
The Theatre provides comfortable seating for 1300 at performances of country artists, comedians, orchestra concerts, children's shows, musicians, recitals, stage shows, and others. The Maryland Theatre welcomes approximately 120,000 people through her doors annually.

The Potomac Playmakers, Inc. is a community-based non-profit organization and in the truest sense of "community" we are an inclusive and welcoming group of people from all age groups and walks of life. For many local families our group has presented an opportunity for several generations to share the stage. The productions are an all-volunteer effort, from costuming, set design and construction to lights and sound.
