Valley Mall Announces November Events Lineup

November 4, 2009, Hagerstown, MD: Representatives from Valley Mall today announced the mall's November events lineup:
Now through Friday, December 11 - Salvation Army Angel Tree
The Salvation Army Angel Tree will be setup in the Macy's Court and will feature names of those in need throughout the Hagerstown area.
Now through Thursday, December 31 - Train Garden - Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum
Located adjacent to Old Navy, the Hagerstown Roundhouse will setup a two-tiered, antique train memorabilia display featuring trains of Christmas and a handmade functional lighthouse beacon. Historians will also be periodically on-site to discuss the trains and answer questions.
Now through Friday, December 11 - Salvation Army Toys for Happiness
For the past thirteen years, the Salvation Army and Valley Mall have partnered to collect toys for area children in need. Those interested in donating are to bring new toys to the Food Court. Toys will be picked up daily.
Tuesday, November 17 through Monday, January 4 - Coats for Kids - Children in Need
The organization, Children in Need, is spearheading this year's annual "Keeping Warm" holiday-giving campaign to collect coats for children during the winter months. Coats will be collected in front of Zales.
Saturday, November 21, 10:30 to 11:30am - Just Mom & Me Thanksgiving Event
Children are invited to make a pinecone bird feeder in the area located in front of Macy's.
Monday, November 23, 11am to 1pm - Salvation Army Kettles and Kick-Off Event
The Salvation Army Kettle Kick-Off event will begin with hand bell choir music from 11to 11:30am, followed by a performance from The Salvation Army Band from 11:30am to 12pm. Officers of the Salvation Army will speak about how the holiday fundraising benefits the local community and then the Valley Mall team will be the first scheduled volunteers to ring the bells at the mall from 12:30 to 1:30pm.
Friday, November 27 through Thursday, December 24 - American Red Cross Gift Wrapping
Featuring two locations, one near Old Navy and one near Reeds Jewelers, volunteers will be on hand during mall hours to assist with shoppers' gift wrapping needs.
