Railroad Crossing Work Will Disrupt Eastern Boulevard Traffic

The Washington County Division of Public Works has been notified that CSX Railroad intends to make repairs to the Eastern Boulevard railroad crossing causing the closure of Eastern Boulevard for approximately 4 days, beginning August 17th.
Eastern Boulevard will be closed to through traffic between Security Road and Klick Way effective at 8am, Monday August 17th through Thursday August 20th.
Detours will be posted to route traffic as efficiently as possible.
The Northbound detour will run west on Dual Highway to north on Burhans Boulevard (Pennsylvania Avenue / US Route 11) to east on Northern Avenue to the intersection of Eastern Boulevard and Leitersburg Pike (MD Route 60).
The Southbound detour will run south on Potomac Avenue to east on Washington Street (US Route 40/Dual Highway) to Eastern Boulevard.
Notifications to appropriate public agencies have been made.
