A Touch of the West!
Americans have long been enchanted by the stories of cowboys in our nation's West! So for an evening of light-hearted fun, let Habitat for Humanity take you back to that era. The evening will begin as "cowboys" and "cowgirls" in western attire, against the decor that will add a touch of old-fashioned western atmosphere, greet guests. Themed, "Home, Home on the Range", Habitat for Humanity's 16th Annual Auction Dinner, will be held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, March 21 at Hagerstown Community College AARC building. Tickets are available now at $45.00 per person! But don't delay as the event sells out every year. Annually, the themed affair offers a lot of fun for those attending. Many attendees arrive dressed to fit the theme of the evening. This year, I expect a great number will be dressed in western attire, as those volunteers working the event plan to do. But whether you wear boots, jeans and sombreros, or arrive in normal clothes, your presence can help Habitat build another house. So, to ensure your chance of getting a ticket, call 301-791-9009 today.

The $80,000 raised last year helped Habitat to continue building affordable housing for low-income families. This year's goal has again been set at $80,000. The homes are sold to qualifying families on a no-profit, no-interest mortgage. Families must put in 500-hours of "sweat equity" building on Habitat houses and participating in other Habitat projects alongside the Habitat volunteers. Dinner Auction is an exciting and fun method of supporting Habitat in its effort to build homes and rebuild lives.
Anyone wanting to order tickets for the auction dinner, or desiring more information on any phase of the Habitat operation, please call 301-791-9009.
