CCT holds open auditions for Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue

Chambersburg, PA - Chambersburg Community Theatre (CCT) will hold open auditions for the area premiere of Dan Goggin's musical Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue February 12 and 13 at 6:30PM at the Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St.; please use the Wood Center entrance (off the parking lot on W. Washington St).
Roles are available for five women age 18 and older. Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of a song that shows their vocal range and personality. They should also be prepared to read from the script and dance (we'll teach a combination). No previous stage experience is necessary, but all roles require the ability to belt a song.
Nunsensations! Shawn Ryan Martin with Stephanie Salisbury as musical director will direct the Nunsense Vegas Revue. For character descriptions, please see the calendar page of CCT's website at www.cctonline.org. A rehearsal schedule will be set following the completion of casting. The performances will be held on May 11-13 and 18-20.
Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue takes the Little Sisters of Hoboken on a brand new adventure. When a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to the sisters' school if they will perform in a club in Las Vegas, Mother Superior is hesitant to accept. However, after being convinced by the other sisters that "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" Reverend Mother agrees. What follows is the most feather-filled, sequin-studded, fan dancing Nunsense show ever! Performing in "The Pump Room" at the Mystique Motor Lodge, the sisters experience "show-biz" like never before. You'll meet Sin-City Sue, find out who's Black and White with Her Money on Red, and try to win a new car with the "Holy Rollers Giant Slot Machine." Taking a line from another show, a critic pointed out, "It's a whole lot funny and a little bit naughty, but there ain't nothin' dirty goin' on!"
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for children age 5 and younger. Ticket prices include the Capitol Theatre processing fee. Reservations can be made online at www.cctonline.org at the Capitol Theatre Box Office located inside the main theatre lobby at 159 S Main St., or by calling 717-263-0202. Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 11AM-5:30PM. Groups discounts are available through the Box Office.
