Sweetheart Casino Big Band Evening Set for Feb. 15th at Hager Hall; Benefit for Discovery Station; Limited Tickets Available! Celebrate Valentine's Day! Casino Games and Jitterbug Contest!

(HAGERSTOWN, MD) -- Join Discovery Station for an evening that is sure to be a great deal of fun! It's called the Sweetheart Casino Big Band Evening, and it is happening at Hager Hall on Feb. 15 from 6-10 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. at Hager Hall, and the evening includes a casino with card games, wheel games, dice games and more! The games include black jack, craps, and roulette. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres and several wonderful carving stations. Also, participants will have fun with the tip jars, pull tabs, 50/50 cash raffles, and auctions of unique items. The fun event includes a silent and live auction. Lots of special surprises! Enjoy a fun evening of socializing and gaming!
The fun night ALSO includes an award-winning big band: Ray Birely's Big Band, under direction of the world-renown Rocky Birely. This 19-piece band will play all the greatest songs from the 1940's and swing era! ALSO, there's a jitterbug contest, and this year we have celebratory judges including Pieter Bickford and Brittany Beggs (plus a surprise celebrity judge!).
Tickets cost $45 per person, or $80 per couple. The price includes "Discovery Station Funny Money" that can be used for the games and silent auction items. Checks, Cash, and credit cards accepted. The event will include games of chance, cash bar (beer and wine), and a lot more!
This event is a main fund-raiser for Discovery Station, and organizers urge people to get tickets fast, since it is bound to sell out.
The Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau is one of the event's sponsors.
Discovery Station at Hagerstown creates exciting hands-on learning experiences that stimulate a curiosity for discovery, exploration and further investigation by children and adults to foster life-long learning.
