Washington County Commercial Customer Appreciation Week starts August 13th

Hagerstown, MD (August 7, 2012) - Commercial construction in Washington County contributes significantly to the local economy each year. Whether it is the construction of a new structure, or a building expansion, building and permitting officials in Washington County want to help you complete your project successfully. As we help guide you through the process, providing good customer service is a major goal of the Division of Plan Review and Permitting and the Division of Public Works.
Commercial Customer Appreciation Week
To show our appreciation to our commercial building construction customers, the County will hold a Commercial Customer Appreciation Week from August 13 - 17, 2012. During this week we will be providing a number of financial incentives for our customers to promote the commercial building industry in Washington County.
* Permit application and technology fees will be waived on all commercial building and trade permit applications received;
* Free copies of plan and permit information will be provided.
Each day of the week we will draw one winner for a $50.00 permit or plan review fee voucher. In addition, there will be daily drawings for a free copy of either the 2012 International Building Code or one of the 2012 trade code books. To be eligible, you must visit us at the 80 West Baltimore Street office between Monday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and leave your business card for the drawing. The grand prize of a $100 gift card donated by AC&T will be drawn on Friday.
Winners will be announced daily on the County's web page and Facebook page.
We will also be recognizing successful and unique commercial projects designed and constructed in Washington County.

We will be providing free coffee, juice and goodies all day and will have additional educational information for our builders, owners, and contractors on zoning requirements, ADA accessibility, fire and life safety.
