Win a Plot of Land on the Moon - Future Site of the "Hagerstown Moons"?
Homestand continues with NASA Night and much more

Hagerstown, MD- Fresh off a four-game series with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Hagerstown Suns welcome the Lexington Legends to Hagerstown for four more games at Municipal Stadium, which started Tuesday, July 29th.
The series is peppered with great promotions, including a celebration of the 50th anniversary of NASA on Tuesday. As part of the festivities on Tuesday, the Suns will be giving 100 fans a chance to win a three-acre plot on the surface of the moon as the future site of the "Hagerstown Moons." Party Hearty Inflatables will be providing a Moon Bounce to be used as part of the contest.
"We've been the "Hagerstown Suns" for 28 years, the 'Hagerstown Raindrops' for a few days and maybe someday we will rightfully be called the 'Hagerstown Moons'," commented Suns' General Manager Will Smith.
The winner of the promotion will be presented a registered claim and deed for lunar property from the Lunar Republic Society, along with a photograph of the plot near the Mare Orientale and Montes Rook on the face of the moon.
Other NASA related promotions will take place throughout the game as well.
Gates open for Tuesday's game at 6:05pm and first pitch will take place at 7:05.
Also on Tuesday, the Suns will host BINGO Tuesday presented by Equipped for Life. Fans have the opportunity to play baseball BINGO throughout the game and win great prizes. Tuesday is also a Senior Day presented by True Oldies 95.9fm with all seniors (ages 60+) receiving $2 admission.
On Wednesday, July 30th the Suns will host Camp Day at Municipal Stadium, as local youth camps will be in attendance. The game will start at 11:05am, also marks another Internet Wednesday at Municipal Stadium. Fans can check out www.hagerstownsuns.com for a new special each week for a discount on Suns tickets, concessions or merchandize.
Game three of the four game series with the Legends will be another Thirsty Thursday and Ladies Night. Twelve-ounce domestic draft beers will cost just $1.25 thanks to Hempen Hill BBQ and Grille and The All-New Rock 101.5 FM, sponsors of Thirsty Thursday. Also, all ladies in attendance will have the opportunity to win great prizes from local businesses thanks to another Hagerstown Magazine Ladies Night. July 31st is also the birthday of the hotdog, so the Suns will be selling the ball-park favorites for just $1.00. Gates open at 6:05pm.
The series finale starts at 7:05pm on Friday and will once again be followed by the Tri-State area's best fireworks extravaganza as WEPM 1340 AM sponsors the Friday Night Fireworks.
