It's Only Ink! Tito, the Firefighter

It's Only Ink!
Tito, the Firefighter

If you're looking for a story to make a child feel better about something...then Tito, the Firefighter is the book you want. This book is an inspirational story about a little boy named Tito who wants to be a firefighter. Tito lives in Harlem and he speaks English and Spanish. Because he's bilingual, he gets to become a firefighter for the day.
As with all Raven Tree Press books, this book is written in English and Spanish. Tito, the Firefighter, written by a NYC Firefighter, is an excellent book that should be on every bookshelf. Tim Hoppey, a poet and 9/11 worker and survivor, uses his daily experiences as a basis for his children's stories.
Raven Tree's books stand out from the rest with the books they choose to publish, the illustrators they work with, and the way they prepare their books. They use full text translation in English and Spanish, and readers can look up words in the language they choose in the back of the book.
Tito, the Firefighter is a splendid book for children of all ages. The easy-to-read text is perfect for intermediate readers.
