Stress and weight loss study

Stress and weight loss study

Hagerstown, MD: Do you struggle with stress, food addiction, and weight gain? The Washington County Health Department is conducting a study using Emotional Brain Training (EBT), a method devised to treat stress and decrease the drive to overeat. The weight loss goal is about 10 pounds in 7 weeks. The participants will meet as a community of people supporting each other while using the EBT skills to turn off the stress-fueled drives to overeat. The 32 participants chosen would need to be available to meet twice weekly for 7 weeks on Mondays and Thursdays, 5:30-7PM between September 12 and December 22. The group training and program materials are provided free. For more information and to receive a phone screening for participation, please call the Washington County Health Department at 240-313-3360; TTY 240-313-3391.
