Finishing Out 2008; Dues; Reserve for Annual Awards Banquet
2008 finished with some fantastic fishing in the Chesapeake Bay region. The annual Bishop Fishing Supply/Peninsula Salt Water Sport Fisherman's Association Rockfish Tournament was held during the final month of the year. Charles Southall was this year's winner. Charles' fish weighed in at 57 pounds and was 52.5 inches long. Charles caught his fish on a live eel drifted near Plantation Light. This is the second time in three years that Charles has won this event. Tricia Neill caught the second place fish. Her fish weighed in at 42 pound 8 ounces. Tricia also caught her fish on a live eel. Philip Ransome won third place. His fish weighed in at 42 pounds even.
It is time to start paying our dues for 2009. Dues will remain $30 for a family membership for another year.
