New Habitat ReStore Needs Volunteers

New Habitat ReStore Needs Volunteers

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County will be opening a ReStore in Hagerstown in early February 2009. Volunteers are needed to help with store preparations and to provide support for daily operations. Some of the activities we need volunteers to assist with include: date entry, pricing and organizing merchandise, store maintenance, receiving and pick-up of donations, and special events and promotions.
Volunteers may work in half day or full day shifts and work multiple days each week if desired. To register as a volunteer please call Ken Welch, ReStore operations manager at 301-791-9009. An orientation meeting will be held in January for all new volunteers.
The Habitat ReStore will re a retail outlet selling new and used building materials, appliances, furniture and household items at prices from 10% to 50% off original retail value. Proceeds will support the mission of HFHWC to provide decent affordable housing for families in need.
