Ten Thousand Villages to Host Community Benefit for Women Build Projects

Hagerstown, MD - Fair trade leader Ten Thousand Villages will hold a benefit for Women Build, an initiative of Habitat for Humanity of Washington County.
The community is invited to support Women Build by shopping at Ten Thousand Villages Hagerstown on Saturday, December 6 from 10am to 6pm. Ten Thousand Villages will donate 15 percent of the day's sales to help build homes for families in Washington County.
Shoppers can purchase holiday gifts of artisan crafted home decor, personal accessories, jewelry, flowerpots, and gift items. Their purchases will not only support Women Build but also the livelihoods of artisans living in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Woman Build is a program of Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, a
local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. It is a non-profit, Christian housing organization that seeks to eliminate substandard housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Through the homes that are built, hope is restored, lives are changed, and our community becomes healthier. For more information about Women Build or Habitat, visit or call 301-791-9009.
