C&O Canal National Historical Park Holds Public Information Meeting

Hagerstown, MD- The National Park Service is hosting a public information meeting regarding the removal of structures in the vicinity of the Pennyfield Lock area. The meeting will be held in the Hoover Room at Rockwood Manor on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 7:00pm. The structures to be removed are the Pennyfield House and the Pennyfield "Daughter's" House that are deteriorated beyond repair and represent a safety hazard to both neighbors and visitors of the park. Park staff will be on-hand at the meeting to answer questions concerning the project.
