Hickory Elementary Offers Free Family Health Night

Hagerstown, MD (September 30, 2008)- Hickory Elementary School will host Family Health Night on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, from 6-8pm. Students and families are encouraged to take advantage of health screenings for blood pressure, diet, and skin damage offered by the Washington County Health Department (WCHD). WCHD will also provide tobacco awareness information, a hand-washing machine, and information about a variety of health-related websites.
In addition, parents have an opportunity to perform the steps of the Presidential Physical Fitness Test with their students at the event. The Hickory PTA is a partner for the evening's activities and offerings, which are free of charge.
Hickory Elementary School is located at 11101 Hickory School Road, off Route 11, south of Hagerstown.
