Sagittarius Salon & Spa Helps the Animals

Sagittarius Salon & Spa Helps the Animals

Hagerstown, MD- Sagittarius Salon & Spa, owned by Jordon Knicley and Marsha Knicley-Massoud, located at 1136 Conrad court in Hagerstown, dedicated September to helping raise donations for the Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) by offering a free gift for each donation that was received from their clients. The response was overwhelming.
On Tuesday, September 30, as Sagittarius staff member and front desk & marketing coordinator Kelly Graham carried in her 3rd armful of items she stated that there was a lot more in the car. It was obvious at the beginning of Sagittarius' collection campaign that their customers were going to be very generous. "We were actually forced to make a delivery to the shelter the 2nd week of our collection campaign," stated Graham, adding, "the room where we were storing the items was brimming so full that we couldn't get another thing into it!" Tuesday's delivery was the fourth delivery made to the shelter.
Graham indicated that customers would come in for their appointments and notice the promotional information on their collection. They would leave and make a special trip back to the salon to bring donations. Paul Miller, executive director of the HSWC stated that the shelter was very impressed with the donations brought in by the salon. "Sagittarius' owners, Jordon and Marsha, have always been very supportive of the shelter," he stated. "This is another example of their generosity and that of their customers." Donations included, but were not limited to, toys, treats, large bags of good, towels, face clothes, and kitty litter.
The Humane Society of Washington County is located at 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown. For more information on how you can help call 301-733-2060 x237 or visit www.hswcmd.org.
