National Museum of Civil War Medicine Receives Ausherman Foundation Grant

National Museum of Civil War Medicine Receives Ausherman Foundation Grant

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine (NMCWM) is pleased to announce the receipt of a $7500 capacity building grant from the Ausherman Family Foundation of Frederick. The grant will be used to fund the purchase of membership management software for the Museum's Membership Department.
"The Museum has long been in need of a membership management system to reflect current technology and fundraising trends in the nonprofit arena," said Museum Executive Director George Wunderlich. "The new system will help us accomplish a number of things that are essential to fundraising, and will help us grow our membership and foundation funding base."
Local residential developer Marvin Ausherman is a former contributor to the Museum. "We are very pleased to have the Ausherman family back in our circle of generous supporters," said Wunderlich.
The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is the premiere repository of exhibits and artifacts devoted to the technological and procedural advances made in the medical field between 1861-1865. The Museum utilizes its collection to heighten public awareness of the modern medical practices that originated on the battlefields and in the hospitals of this once divided country.
The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is located at 48 E. Patrick Street in downtown Frederick, Maryland, and is open Monday through Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 11-5. For further information, please visit our web site at www.civilwarmed.org or call 301-695-1864.
